Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (UPJEE 2018) for admission in Diploma Engineering / Postgraduate Diploma courses notification has been released on 14 October 2017 by Joint Entrance Exam Council.

A candidate will be treated as a candidate of UP if He / She fulfil any of the conditions of following.
- His / Her parents are domicile of UP.
- He / She Passed qualifying examination from UP.
- Either of his / her parents is the employee of Central Government and posted in UP.
- Those candidates who do not fulfil any of the conditions of State Eligibility will be treated as ‘Other
Than UP’. ‘Other Than UP’ Candidates will be given chance to admission through JEEC when there is no candidate left from UP.
All the reservations are effective as per UP government rules
For Diploma level courses - The minimum academic qualification to appear in JEE is a pass in the final examination of High School ( with the subject science and Maths-II ) from UP-Board or equivalent. The minimum academic qualification to appear in JEE is a pass in the final examination of Intermediate ( in High School / Intermediate Hindi & English is Compulsory ) from UP-Board or equivalent.
For Degree Level Courses ( Admission To First Year ) Minimum academic qualification to appear in State Entrance Examination, is a pass in the final examination of ( 10+2 ) standard or equivalent. Those candidates appearing in (10+2) final examination may also appear in UP JEE 2018
For Degree Level Courses ( Admission To Second Year ) Admission to Second Year (for diploma holders only): Candidates who have passed Diploma ( with minimum 60% marks) recognized by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engg./ tech. except for agriculture engg. are eligible for admission to the second year in any branch of Engg./ tech.
