As per Parallelogram method of vector addition, the resultant vector R can be represented as follows.

|R| = Sqrt (A^{2} + B^{2} + 2 A B cosθ )

(i) θ = 0 --> The vectors simply add up

(ii) θ = 180 --> The vectors subtract

(iii) θ = 90. --> Hypotenuse.
