Bernouli's equation

i encountered one of its application n got strucked in this paragraph
the speed of the blood increases which lowers the pressure(by bernouli’s equation), due to to this, the inside pressure drops &*** the arteries may collapse due to external pressure.***
the sentence enclosed in stars. the question how the arteries collapse?
iam not getting. plse help

When speed of the liquid increases, pressure decreases (gist of the equation / principle).

The first sentence is “the speed of the blood increases”

This leads to “the pressure decreases, thus the inside pressure drops”

Imagine you have a plastic water bottle. Suck out the air from inside it. What will happen? It will collapse, wouldn’t it?

Similarly the artery collapses when pressure drops inside it.
